Confgratulations Alex Noyes

Alex Noyes Graduates with a First Class BSc Honours in Network Security Management

Our very own Alex Noyes received his graduation certificate this week from Southampton Solent University.

Network security is becoming more and more relevant to our everyday lives, and businesses are quickly starting to realise that skilled network security managers are vital to keeping customer data safe. Alex has passed the course, gaining a First Class BSc Honours in Network Security Management.

Alex was also awarded the University networking prize for his innovative development and use of a Raspberry Pi based PRTG Network monitoring device. This device acts as a remote management unit for a Network administrator to deploy and gather Network and systems intelligence and monitoring.

PRTG is a product that Alex used whilst at Trust before his University journey and is widely used and recognised as a market leader. Trust Systems sell, support and deploy PRTG as a managed service platform and on premise licence, we can also send out pre loaded Raspberry Pi for trial in suitable sized organisations. New Appointments – June

 

New appointments in June:

We are delighted to announce and welcome 2 new team members to Trust

Alex Noyes: Presales

Alex first worked in the Usthree Group for Agility as a Trainee Service Desk Advisor in 2013. Alex proved himself as an excellent advocate of the business, creating superb rapport with clients and colleagues.

 

Alex now re-joins the business in Trust Systems, after completing a degree course in Network Security at Southampton University. Alex will be providing presales support and consultancy for Trust and we know he will be instrumental in our continued growth.

 

Craig McArdell: Client Account Manager

Craig has been working in both purchasing and sales over the last 10 years, providing outstanding service and account management to clients. Craig will be working with a range of clients, helping their businesses to flourish by adopting new and emerging IT technologies. In particular Craig will be focussing out IoT and customer engagement solutions for automotive, transportation and fleet.

 

We know that Craig will be a fantastic addition to the sales team, adding a new energy and perspective. Craig will be promoting a range of solutions from our managed services portfolio as above and he has already worked hard on a new digital information video which can be viewed here

Cyber Essentials Scheme

 

Trust are now Cyber Essentials Accredited:

 

Our team have been working very hard to enusre that we met the strict guidelines for approval onto the Government’s Cyber Essentials Scheme. The accreditation shows our commitment to Cyber Security, and demonstrates the ability to work diligently with our clients’ and prospects.

 

The nest step is Cyber Essentials plus, and we already have a project initiated for ISO 27001  (ISMS). An ISMS is a framework of policies and procedures that includes all legal, physical and technical controls involved in an organisation’s information risk management processes.

 

 Well done to the team involved in this and we look forward to announcing the next stage accreditations in the future

Scott will be ensuring that our customers receive the highest levels of service and account management, only by us providing excellence to our clients will our business continue to succeed.

 

Dominic Ashbee: Business Development Manager

Dominic joins us having a great dela of experience in the telecoms sector.

 

In line with our strategy for continued growth into Managed Services, Dominics experience in Telecoms and managed services is perfectly placed. Dominic lives and works in London so also bridges another important gap for the business. Dominic displays a huge amount of energy and enthusiasm to the job and is already thoroughly enjoying the challenge

Why is this important for buyers?:

 

Appointing competent suppliers

 

Clients have a key responsibility, which they share with their suppliers, for the health and safety of everyone who works at their premises. This means that Clients must make sure that any suppliers they appoint are competent to do their work.

 

For construction work, Clients have legal duties to carry out health and safety assessments of Principal Contractors, Principal Designers (who must be appointed for larger projects) Contractors and Designers. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) have set out how these assessments should be carried out in the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015). There are numerous companies and other organisations that operate assessment schemes that can help Clients to carry out the first stage of a competence assessment.

 

It can be difficult for some Clients, especially small and medium sized enterprises, and those that do not regularly procure construction work, to decide which of these schemes meet their needs. The Safety Schemes in Procurement Forum (SSIP Forum) has been established to set a threshold for competence assessments. This threshold is based on the SSIP Core Criteria. Assessment schemes that are members of the SSIP Forum recognise Stage 1 assessments that are carried out by other Member Schemes.

 

Why is this important to us?:

Increasingly, contractors need to show clients and others that they have basic health and safety capabilities. Successful assessment can be very effective in our industry sector. It can provide a competitive advantage in a tough commercial environment, and help to open up new areas of opportunity. This allows for concentration on the Stage 2 (project or job specific) tasks of ensuring that suppliers have: specific experience in the type of work that they will be contracted to do; that they have trained staff; and that they have the resources to meet the client’s needs.

 

Successful assessment by a member of the SSIP Forum means that you meet a recognised Stage 1 standard. This standard is recognised by the HSE and accreditation schemes that have quality assurance processes. In short, you and your clients can have confidence in the credibility of assessment by an SSIP Forum Member Scheme.

Trust Systems help HMV reduce cost & improve efficiency

 

Trust Systems recently helped HMV Retail to reduce costs and improve efficiency in Stores;

 

by providing a new Igel based Thin Client infrastructure.

The solution consists of a hosted Citrix backend platform serving Igel UD2 devices displayed on LG monitors. The solution was won based on the cost reductions and functionality that Trust were able to demonstrate by using Igel devices and the ability to put together a deployment plan and deliver it in a short timeframe.

We have moved to bigger offices!

As part of our growth plans, we have moved to new premises.

The new 6700 sqft office space on the outskirts of Cirencester provides a modern, spacious working environment for the team.
We also have incorporated our sister company Agility Data Solutions into the neighbouring unit, and are equipping the NOC (Network Operations Centre) with the latest support and monitoring technology.

 

Training and meeting facilities are all housed onsite ensuring that we offer the best environment for our clients and partners too.
