Microsoft Licences

OEM – Can only be supplied and installed by authorised Microsoft Partners, you ‘the customer’ receive a card which has a licence key on it, the more OEM licences you purchase, the more pieces of card you have. OEM also restricts downgrade rights, so you can only use the version that you have purchased.

Licencing – Is available to SME, Education and Corporate organisations. Most use Open volume licensing, this provides you ‘the customer’ with an email and access to an online portal where you can retrieve your licence keys and download software. Licencing on line is the best route to manage your Microsoft licences and also allows you the flexibility to use downgrade rights to earlier versions.

You can also purchase Software Assurance (SA) for your licences enabling you to upgrade to new versions within a two year period.
