Key Account Project Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a Project Manager whose time will be split between our customer sites near the M4 corridor and our Head office in Cirencester.

Main duties:

  • To represent the company as a Key Account Project Manager fully integrated into client operations whilst ensuring that all projects at the client’s multiple sites are delivered on time and within budget, all work and project activities are undertaken in a timely, accurate and a cost effective manner.
  • To work with the Project Management Team to deliver accurate Management Information for project reports and Board Meetings.
  • Whilst on client site, be the direct interface for all day-to-day project delivery, take ownership of and leadership responsibility for ensuring all project portfolios are managed and to ensure these are delivered in line with the timelines and SLA’s
  • To manage the allocated project engineering team effectively to achieve multiple project objectives.
  • To ensure Project and Management Information reports are produced in accordance with the MI Schedule.

Key Accountabilities:

  • The primary point of contact & interface between Trust and our key clients.
  • Driving projects forward from initial concept through deployment to completion.
  • The primary point of contact for project escalation.
  • Developing and managing Project Governance structures.
  • Undertaking standard PM functions such as:
  1. Producing Project Plans Incorporating Communications Plans and RACI matrix
  2. Developing a Risk Management Strategy
  3. Identifying and managing issues
  4. Maintaining & issuing status, highlight and RCA reports
  5. Managing project budgets
  6. Managing direct & contract engineering resource effectively

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Manage and take charge of risk and compliance, change, performance, and supplier engagement.
  • Drive best practice, process improvement within the team and maintain an effective work environment.
  • Ensure strategies, contractual obligations, SLA’s, processes and department plans are understood and adhered to within the team.
  • Develop and manage productive relationships internally and externally.
  • Contribute to the overall activities of the Projects Team such as project work plans.
  • Identify resources and assign responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate competence in a project methodology, either Prince 2 or APM Project Management methods.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored.
  • Work closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the projects.
  • Understands basic revenue models and P/L; meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances and initiating corrective actions.
  • Works with customers and solution designers to define and document requirements for project delivery, liaise with the business via email, IM or phone to get new requirements and explain the feasibility.
  • Submits project status reports to stakeholders; reviews bugs; plans software releases; anticipates and reacts to change.
  • Overseeing the project resource utilisation per project and department, ensuring adequate staff levels, to arrange cover for absences and peaks in workload and the recruitment of new staff.
  • Accounting for project stock and delivery to site.

Key Skills Experience and Qualifications:

  • Proficient skills in IT software-Word/Excel, PowerPoint, CRM, MS Project.
  • Experience or Qualifications in recognised PM disciplines such as PRINCE 2, APM, AGILE, SCRUM.
  • IT, Managed Services, Data Centre and technical industry experience (min 5+ years)
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills, articulate in written presentation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and financial resource management skills.
  • Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • The ability to get key decisions right consistently.
